Local Lawyer Gets Chevening Scholarship

BRADES – The Governor’s Office is pleased to announce that Mrs Kristen Taylor – Hilton of the Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions has been awarded a prestigious Chevening Scholarship for the 2015 / 16 academic year.

Mrs Taylor – Hilton will study for an LLM in Criminal Law and Justice at the Birback University of London commencing in September of this year.

Chevening Scholarships are the UK Government’s global scholarship programme, funded by the Foreign & Commonwealth Office (FCO) and partner organisations. They are geared to students with first degrees enabling them to study for Masters programmes or equivalent.

As Mrs Taylor-Hilton leaves at the start of her scholarship, Miss Kimona Daniel, a Chevening Scholarship winner in the last academic year will be returning to the island at the end of her course of studies.
