Reginald 'Fred' Blake is Fisher of the Year

The Ministry of Agriculture on Sunday honoured Reginald ‘Fred’ Blake as Fisher of the Year. Fred was commended for his unwavering contribution to catching and selling fish.

Blake was among seven fishers with 50 or more years in the industry.
The award ceremony was part of the opening activities for Agriculture Week 2015, held at Marine Village in Little Bay.
Other activities throughout the afternoon was a Chef’s Competition to prepare dishes using the lionfish and announcement of the Lionfish Champion Fisher.
