The Montserrat Public Library is feeling the love this month and they are hoping readers will feel it too. All month long, they are celebrating Valentine’s Day and have decorated the department to reflect that.
According to Librarian Sonja Smith, the theme for this month is “Make a Date with a Good Book”.
“Most of the books we’ve selected will have a love theme even if it is a thriller. We are hoping that people will come in and show some love to our library and make a date with a few of the books this month,” Smith said.
This Thursday, February 12th, the library will be hosting the book launch for Catherine Dorsette’s new romance novel Fire on Montserrat: A Caribbean Love Story. The launch begins at 5:00 p.m. at the Public Library in Brades.
There will be reviews of the book as well as the author will be speaking about her writing process and reading excerpts from the new novel. There will be books on sale.
On Friday February 12th, there will be a quiz with two questions on ZJB Radio Montserrat. The lucky winners will each receive a gift from the Library.
For those wishing to create unique Valentine Card’s for their loved ones, the library offers a special printing service starting at only $5.00. Place your orders by calling the library at 491-4706 or e-mailing o’garros@gov.ms.
