Several ministers of the gospel including local pastor Bishop Melroy Meade received honorary Doctor of Divinity degrees in Colorado last month.

Along with friend and colleague Bishop Gary George of Trinidad  & Tobago, Bishop Meade was recognised for his work in ministry on Montserrat and across the globe.

The leadership team of Kingdom Connection Christian Center, Aurora Colorado State, under the able leadership of Dr. Ade Ajala, nominated Bishop Melroy Meade for an honorary Doctor of Divinity, under Denver Institute of Urban Studies and Adult Education and was approved and conferred same upon Bishop Meade on Friday June 24, 2016.

According to Dr. Ajala, this honour was bestowed upon Dr. Meade in appreciation of his tireless efforts in bringing awareness to the challenges facing the Island of Montserrat and his biblical approach to community development, both in Montserrat and in the United States of America.

The leadership of KCCC have extended congratulations to Bishop Dr Melroy Meade DD, and the family of the Church of God of Prophecy Montserrat for this great achievement.

This is Bishop Meade’s second Doctor of Divinity honour as in 2010 the Governing Council of Christ Life Bible Institute and Seminary (a non-denominational accredited Bible Institute) from the United States selected Bishop Melroy Meade to receive the award.

A statement from the local church said “We at the Church of God of Prophecy Montserrat are extremely proud of our Bishop and extend heartiest congratulations to our Senior Pastor and Bishop Dr. Melroy Meade and his family on his latest achievement. We wish him even greater successes in the future as he labours in the vineyard.”
