The Governor’s Office announced Tuesday that Mrs Sarita Francis has been appointed Acting Deputy Governor as of Monday, October 10, 2016.
A statement from the office said “Her Excellency the Governor will make a formal announcement about this and the longer term filling of the Deputy Governor post at a press conference to be held later this week.”
Francis is also the current Director of the Montserrat National Trust. She was also the first GOM CEO, which was the pre-cursor to the Deputy Governor position.
The post was previously held by Mr Alric Taylor, who served as DG since 2012.
