“Montserrat meets the World “is the theme of the 2017 multi-arts production coming to the Cultural Centre on Saturday, February 25.

According to Ines Lapa, the current Sir George Martin Music Foundation Fellow, the production tells the story of a Montserratian girl who decides to travel the world. During her journey, a great variety of songs will be heard, bringing melodies, rhythms and soundscapes from all corners of the world.

The music will be performed by the following the junior and teen divisions of the National Youth Choir, Re-Beat recycled percussion group, Strummin’ Strat Ukulele Club along with other guests.

All of the music groups are run by Montserrat Music Foundation in collaboration with the Department of Youth Affairs and they bring together dozens of students from the Primary and Secondary Schools of Montserrat.
Showtime is 7PM and tickets are available at Ashok’s Supermarket and Department of Youth Affairs.
