A Montserratian entrepreneur can win more than one million EC dollars if they’ve got a startup that focuses on climate change and green innovation AND if they successfully make it through the Green Challenge.
The Caribbean Climate Innovation Centre (CCIC) has teamed with the Postcode Lottery Green Challenge to share this opportunity to all Caribbean entrepreneurs.
Postcode Lottery Green Challenge 2017 is for innovative entrepreneurs with sustainable business plans that contributes to an eco-friendly lifestyle and reduces greenhouse-gas emissions to enter the competition for a chance to win €500,000 to further develop their service or product and bring it to market within the next two year. The runner-up will also receive €200,000.
Entrepreneurs from all over the world can submit their sustainable business plans until the first of June, 2017, at www.greenchallenge.info All entries must be submitted in English. Mid-July, the organization will announce the 25 nominees who are in the running towards becoming a finalist.
The winner will not only take home half a million euros but will also get expert coaching and help in bringing their idea to market. The Green Challenge competition is organized by the Postcode Lottery (active in The Netherlands, Sweden, the UK and Germany).
A virtual information session for entrepreneurs will be held on Tuesday, May 16 with Ms. Linda Vermaat, a representative from Post Code Lottery Green Challenge. Starting at 9AM Jamaica time (10 AM Montserrat time) Vermaat will present further details about the competition and how Caribbean entrepreneurs can benefit from this great opportunity.
