Tropical Update From Antigua Met Office

This is for the Leeward Islands and British Virgin Islands

Antigua and Barbuda Meteorological Services is following the progress of tropical depression four located at 11 am near Latitude 15.6 North, Longitude 50.9 West or about 690 miles east of the Lesser Antilles.

The depression is moving toward the West-Northwest near 21 mph, and this motion is expected to continue today.

Maximum sustained winds are near 30 mph with higher gusts, and these winds are probably associated with a few remaining squalls. The depression is forecast to degenerate into a remnant low tonight.

This system poses no storm/hurricane threat to the Leeward Islands and British Virgin Islands at this time however, residents are advised to continue to monitor the system until it clears the area.
