Montserrat may not yet have any players competiting at the U.S. Open Golf Tournament which runs Jun 14 – Jun 17, 2018 but they will have representation among the volunteers.
Ivan Browne, the former CEO of the Montserrat Development Corporation (MDC) and an avid golfer was selected to join the 4,500 volunteers from 49 states and 16 countries who will assist with the running of the tournament.
Browne is no stranger to golf administration having served as the Secretary/Treasurer of both the Antigua and Barbuda Golf Association and the OECS Golf Association and assisted with the running of two Caribbean Junior Championships.
He has been golfing for over 25 years and will be working in the Merchandise Pavilion assisting visitors to the tournament.
The 2018 United States Open Championship will be the 118th U.S. Open and will be held at Shinnecock Hills Golf Club in Shinnecock Hills, New York.
