Montserrat is being promoted as a cruise destination by two small lines.
Windstar Cruises and Clipper Stad Amsterdam have added the island to their 2018/19 itinerary.
Roselyn Cassell-Sealy confirmed that her agency Travel World Tours will be managing the Windstar Cruise shore excursions for the third year in a row.
A total of 14 calls are scheduled to be made at Port Little Bay starting November 13, 2018. Montserrat is part of Windstar Cruises’ Caribbean Legend seven-day tour which also stops in Antigua, Grenada, Barbados, among others.
Clipper Stad Amsterdam is promoting the island as part of its Photography Cruise from St. Martin to Martinique for January 2019.
“Photography lovers can board the Clipper Stad Amsterdam for a special interest cruise in 2019. This cruise is a unique opportunity to discover the beautiful Caribbean Islands and study the finer art of photography with professional photographer Thijs Heslenfeld. The cruise starts in St Martin, from here the route leads to Saint Kitts, Nevis, Montserrat and Dominica, the largest and most mountainous island of the Leeward Islands and without a doubt deserves the nickname ‘nature island of the Caribbean‘. Dominica is still untouched by mass tourism and hardly has any luxury resorts,” their website states.
Montserrat is also a port of call for The Clipper in February 2019 as part of the last cruise of their winter programme, which leaves from Martinique and ends in St. Martin.
The Clipper has 14 luxury cabins with the atmosphere of a traditional sailing ship and the luxuries of a modern hotel room. On board you also find a spacious dining room (the long room) for dinners and presentations, and an al fresco bar.
