Local Software Firm Sponsors National Cricket Team Uniforms

Rovika, a local software development firm has sponsored the uniform for Montserrat’s Senior Cricket Team.
Montserrat will be competing in the Leeward Islands Senior 50 Over Championship, which was officially opened on Wednesday.
Leeward Islands Cricket is over 100 years old and to date, Montserrat has produced one Test Player in Lionel Baker.
Rovika team leaders Manish Valechha and Dennison Daley said they were pleased support the Montserrat Senior Cricket Team by providing their uniforms for the Leeward Islands Senior 50 over Championship 2018 in partnership with Victor’s Supermarket.
Six teams – Antigua & Barbuda, Anguilla, Montserrat, Nevis, St. Maarten and St. Kitts – are competing in the championship expected to run until September 23. Current weather conditions may extend some play dates.

Batting all-rounder Shernyl Burns will captain the Montserrat in the 50 over tournament. Experienced fast bowler Damion Williams will be the deputy captain.

The squad includes Quinton Boatswain, Jemuel Cabey, Travis Harrison and Aiden Livan, Jaison Peters, Joshua Grant, Zawandi White, Kriston Murrain, Theodore Frye, Dalston Tuitt, Deno Baker, Shawn Tuitt, and Leeward Islands Hurricanes francshise player Damion Jacobs.

Montserrat will debut the new uniforms in Friday’s game against a combined St Maarten/USVI team at Salem Park.
