Delta Petroleum Montserrat Ltd is seeking a suitably qualified full-time, mature, experienced Road Tank Wagon or commercial truck driver to work approximately 50 hours a week.
Tasks and duties will include:
- carrying out routine vehicle checks
- loading petroleum products into the Road Tank Wagon
- making sure that the load is the correct product
- driving vehicle to the destination and unloading according to Delta’s rules, regulations and policies
- ensuring that all required documentation is signed, correctly completed, correctly tabulated and all balances delivered are agreed/confirmed
- maintain all required log books
To successfully secure this opportunity, applicants must:
- have at least 3 to five years commercial truck-driving experience
- have defensive driving certification
- have a valid commercial license
- be reliable, punctual and self-motivated
- have a great attitude and strong work ethic
- have an intimate and working knowledge of Montserrat local areas
- be a Montserratian or hold legal resident status
- have a clean driving record
- be very safety minded
- be willing to work early and late hours, weekends and public holidays
- be willing to do deliveries outside of normal working hours
- have excellent customer service skills
Additional Skills include:
- adept at maneuvering commercial vehicles
- could complete routine maintenance on vehicle
- have good numeracy skills
- capable of following instructions
- keen understanding of traffic laws
- capable of driving long hours
- Mechanical skills would be an asset
