JOB – Experienced Commercial Truck Driver Wanted

Delta Petroleum Montserrat Ltd is seeking a suitably qualified full-time, mature, experienced Road Tank Wagon or commercial truck driver to work approximately 50 hours a week.
Tasks and duties will include:

  • carrying out routine vehicle checks
  • loading petroleum products into the Road Tank Wagon
  • making sure that the load is the correct product
  • driving vehicle to the destination and unloading according to Delta’s rules, regulations and policies
  • ensuring that all required documentation is signed, correctly completed, correctly tabulated and all balances delivered are agreed/confirmed
  • maintain all required log books

To successfully secure this opportunity, applicants must:

  • have at least 3 to five years commercial truck-driving experience
  • have defensive driving certification
  • have a valid commercial license
  • be reliable, punctual and self-motivated
  • have a great attitude and strong work ethic
  • have an intimate and working knowledge of Montserrat local areas
  • be a Montserratian or hold legal resident status
  • have a clean driving record
  • be very safety minded
  • be willing to work early and late hours, weekends and public holidays
  • be willing to do deliveries outside of normal working hours
  • have excellent customer service skills

Additional Skills include:

  • adept at maneuvering commercial vehicles
  • could complete routine maintenance on vehicle
  • have good numeracy skills
  • capable of following instructions
  • keen understanding of traffic laws
  • capable of driving long hours
  • Mechanical skills would be an asset
