At the invitation of the Governor of Montserrat, the Commonwealth Parliamentary Association British Islands and Mediterranean Region will conduct an election observation mission to the Montserrat General Election 2019.
There are seven international observers taking part in the Mission, comprising of parliamentarians, officials and analysts.
The Commonwealth Parliamentary Association British Islands and Mediterranean Region will conduct the Mission in accordance with the Declaration of Principles of International Election Observation and Code of Conduct for International Election Observers.
The Mission will observe the election process and meet with key stakeholders including officials, candidates, and members of the public. The election will be observed against international standards and domestic laws by seven international observers. Initial findings will be published after the election, and the final report including recommendations will be published two months later.
