BRADES – For the first time in recent history, the top three senior officers of the Royal Montserrat Police Service are all from the Caribbean.
Steve Foster has been the Police Commissioner since 2007. Charles Thompson was confirmed as the Deputy Commissioner in 2014. Bennett Kirwan was recently confirmed as Superintendent after acting in the post for one year.
Thompson, who is originally from St. Vincent & the Grenadines is the first deputy commissioner from the Caribbean since 2005 when Simon Morson filled the post.
Both Foster and Kirwan are from Montserrat.
