Former Policeman Now Heads Office of the DPP

BRADES – A former member of the Royal Montserrat Police Service has now been named as head of Public Prosecutions.

According to a statement from the Governor’s Office, “following consultation with the Chief Justice of the Eastern Caribbean Supreme
Court, Dame Janice Pereira, HE the Governor Adrian Davis is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr Oris Sullivan as the Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP) for Montserrat.
Sullivan has been acting as the DPP since the beginning of January 2014. Before working in the DPP’s Office Mr Sullivan was Crown Counsel and Senior Crown Counsel with the Government of Montserrat. He also spent 13 years with the Royal Montserrat Police Service.
“The Governor would like to extend his personal congratulations to Mr Sullivan. His  appointment is integral to the shared endeavour of keeping Montserrat as a safe and peaceful place in which we all live.”
