The Tourism Division, Office of the Premier, is organizing a one-day Seminar for Tour and Taxi Drivers. The Seminar will take place at the Montserrat Cultural Centre from 9:00am until 3:00pm on Thursday, May 9th , 2019.
Interested taxi drivers and tour guides are invited to attend and are asked to register their names with the Tourism Division in Brades or call 491 4702/3 or 495 7101 by Tuesday, May 7th , 2019.
The Seminar will be facilitated by Ms. Kathryn McConnie who has many years of experience in the Hospitality and tourism industry, in Trinidad and Tobago. She has made a significant contribution to the Tour Guiding profession in Trinidad and Tobago through the development of a structured professional Tour Guiding Course and her syllabus and course content continues to be utilized by several training institutions and facilitators. As a Lecturer in Professional Tour Guiding and Quality Customer Care, she continues to impart her
knowledge and experience to thousands of students who themselves have become successful Tour Guides. She has published her own texts for tour guide training –“The Cicerone – Professional Tour Guiding Techniques” and is about to publish two other texts.
