See Science in Action at St Augustine School Today

7-6-16-ScienceFair3Today is the second and final day of the annual Science Fair at the St Augustine Primary School in Woodlands.

Budding scientists from Kindergarten to Grade Six have created two rooms full of experiments to show you what they are learning about how things work.

Minister of Agriculture Claude Hogan officially opened the exhibits on Tuesday morning.

Also participating in the opening ceremony was former student and now Environment Officer Thiffanie Williams who shared why science is so important.

7-6-16-ScienceFair2Bank of Montserrat’s Assistant General Manager Charmaine Francois presented a cheque for their sponsorship of the fair for the 8th year. She also assisted with giving each young scientist a medal for participating in the fair.

The experiments range in complexity and show the inquisitiveness of the students. Be sure to check out each display including the Worm Hotel, Galaxy Slime, What a Mix Up and Cloud in a Bottle. You can also find a wonderful display of ways to use mangoes. Mango chutney, mango ketchup, mango cheese sticks are all there.
