Honourable Deputy Premier Delmaude Ryan is currently in Haiti for the Twenty-ninth Inter-Sessional Meeting of CARICOM Heads of Government which began Monday February 26, and will continue Tuesday 27 February, at the Marriott Hotel, Port-au-Prince.
The two-day meeting is expected to deal with a range of pressing issues for the Caribbean Community, including building a climate-resilient Region following the devastation of the 2017 hurricane season, regional security, the CARICOM Single Market and Economy (CSME), regional transportation, the tourism industry, and the challenges from the blacklisting actions and de-risking strategies of more developed countries and global banks.
