LONDON – International Soca artist Scrappy has been confirmed as the headline act for this year’s Carnaval International de Victoria on Mahé Island of the Seychelles.
Now in its fifth year, the carnival will take place between 24th to 26th April 2015.
Scrappy, who claims Montserrat as home, is celebrating 10 years as a soca music industry professional. In a press statement on Tuesday, he said he will be documenting his journey to Seychelles as he kicks off his 2015 tour.
Playing alongside his band Tropical Storm, Scrappy is promising an exciting performance of his top hits from the past decade as well as a few special surprises showcasing the diversity of his musical abilities.
“This opportunity by far is the most breathtaking one. Seychelles looks like an amazing place and to be included in this event has made me and my country Montserrat very proud. I Love My Culture,” Scrappy said on hearing about the upcoming gig.
