BRADES – The Eastern Caribbean Central Bank is looking for tech savvy individuals to participate in a hackathon.
According to Acting ECCB Representative for Montserrat Debra Lewis, the Business Solutions Think Tank and Hackathon will be held on August 14 – 15, 2015.
ECCB envisions the event as “a collaborative dynamic forum that brings together persons of diverse experiences and expertise to produce functional IT applications (from concept, to working prototype, to final product) that address real world problems related to the OECS private and public sectors.”
The Business Solutions Think Tank and Hackathon will provide private and public sector with new or innovative strategies, ideas and applications solutions designed to address real world problems. Participants will learn new technology, showcase their talent and ultimately build new apps that help create solutions for private and public sector problems.
Registration is free. Persons who fit any of the following profiles are invited to register: (IT college students, teachers and professionals; other professionals, business owners, business associations’ representatives, and thought leaders) and be part of a team where participants develop a solution (“Solution”) to one of the identified business challenges. Participants must complete this form to register for the forum.
There will be cash prizes for the top three teams: 1st Place – EC$3,500 2nd Place – EC$2,500 3rd Place – EC$1,000.
