A new mini documentary on Montserrat was released recently ahead of a new BBC series Britain’s Treasure Islands.
Aside from the TV documentary series, which airs on April 12 at 9PM on BBC4, 42 “mini-documentaries” have been made using the footage (and often totally unrelated stories) that were not used in the main broadcast series.
All 42 films are intended as an educational resource and are provided free of charge for all to watch and enjoy, says the producers. It is hoped that these films will help raise awareness of the wildlife, cultures, history and heritage of all of the UK Overseas Territories.
The video is 10:30secs and looks at the endangered mountain chicken and the national bird the Oriole.
