Winners of Biennial Primary School Spelling Bee Announced

Students from the Lighthouse Community Academy and the St. Augustine Primary School won the biennial primary school spelling bee earlier this week.

Seven students from grades two and three of the local primary schools competed on Monday, May 29 at the Lookout Primary School Auditorium.

Grade 3 student Charlie Joseph (30 points) of Lighthouse Community Academy and Shekinah Persaud (26 points) of St. Augustine Primary School were the top boy and girl in their category.

Jaazani Hackete (32) of Lighthouse Community Academy and Chidera Madu (33) of St. Augustine Primary School were the top two in grade two.
