The Health Ministry says it has learnt that persons who travelled to the island recently were exposed to the virus on a British Airways flight from the UK.
Community Nursing Manager Violet Browne has asked persons presenting with the symptoms to seek medical attention.
Measles is a highly contagious disease which is characterized by high fever, cough, runny nose and a red rash which starts on the face and spreads to the body.
It is caused by a virus and is spread through coughing and sneezing.
