The Disaster Management Coordination Agency (DMCA) in conjunction with Search and Rescue erected signs at the sinkhole located in the area of the North West Bluff of Silver Hills last week.
According to officials, the sinkhole continues to grow progressively larger and there are signs of an imminent landslide above the sink hole.
The Disaster Management Coordination Agency (DMCA) continues to warn residents, particularly livestock farmers and hikers to be aware of the potential dangers when venturing in the area and to take the necessary precautions.
The team was led by Senior Disaster Management Coordinator at the DMCA Astrid Wade and Sergeant Mattaniah Antoine and Fire Fighter Adrian Messam from Search and Rescue.
The DMCA would like to thank the Montserrat Volcano Observatory (MVO) and Caribbean Helicopters for their assistance with this very difficult task.
