St. Kitts took home the crown from the second installment of the Regional “Arrow” Soca Monarch Competition which took place on Thursday, March 16 at Salem Park.
Jarez “LAX” Liburd and Jason “KT” Kyte collected US$5000 for their winning performances of “Big Truck” and “Jack Hammer” in the two-round competition.
Despite an extremely late start the show was well attended and the crowd brought energy for the soca artists who represented eight territories.
Boyzie of Grenada, who was the 2016 winner but did not place in the final top three. Ricky T of St. Lucia was second and took home a US$4000 prize. Menace of Antigua was third with at US$3000 prize.
All other participants: Delly Ranks of Nevis, Mr Decent from Anguilla, Taffy from Montserrat, Hyper 4000 from St Vincent & the Grenadines took home US$ 750.
The artists were backed up by the Arrow Multi-National Force Band.
