LONDON – Montserrat’s Hon. Speaker of the House Shirley Osborne was elected as Vice Chair of the Commonwealth Parliamentary Association (CPA) Executive Committee today, Monday October 5, 2015.
Osborne was also confirmed as the Regional Representative for the CAA (Caribbean, Americas and the Atlantic Region) and will also take up a new role as Regional Representative to the Commonwealth Women Parliamentarians.
Since taking on the role of Speaker of the House a year ago, Ms Osborne has been driving the push for Montserrat to play a greater role in the global parliamentary organisation.
The speaker is in London to attend the 61st CPA General Assembly and Executive Committee Meetings.
