No one was injured in a fire which destroyed a dwelling house in Lookout on Monday morning.

This was confirmed by Police Commissioner Steve Foster today who added that the cause of the fire was still under investigation by the fire service.

Two people were at home at the time of the fire but were able to make it outside with out injury.

The police official told the press that only the external structure remained intact. He noted that the home was one of the original buildings in the area which were built without any rear exits. He said this was of great concern to his department as the tenants had to cross the fire to get out of the house.
