At the request of the Honourable Premier Mr. Donaldson Romeo, the Parliamentary Year 2018-2019 of the Montserrat Legislative Assembly will not open in September this year. According to a release from the Speaker of the House, the formal opening ceremony has been rescheduled for Tuesday, October 16th 2018 at 9:00 a.m. in the Sir George Martin Auditorium of the Montserrat Cultural Centre.
The Speaker of the Montserrat Legislative Assembly takes the opportunity to reiterate her standing invitation to the people of Montserrat to attend sittings of the Montserrat Legislative Assembly and experience the business of their Legislative Branch in person.
Speaker Osborne further invites residents and citizens of all ages and persuasions to feel free to contact her Office with any related concerns, ideas or suggestions and reminds everyone that the increased engagement and participation of the citizens is critical to the processes of governing of Montserrat, to democracy and transparency, and for the right development of our island and peoples.
