The Government of Montserrat has approved a list of 43 priority areas for long-term training and professional development for the academic year 2019/2020.
The list was approved by Cabinet on May 30, 2019. It includes areas of study across several ministries and departments. These include, Electrical Engineering; Dental Hygiene & Dental Therapy; Valuation and Property Management; Geographic and Land Information Systems Management, and Fisheries Biology, among others.

Application forms can be requested from the Human Resources Management Unit and also downloaded from the Government of Montserrat’s website at http://www.gov.ms/wp-content/uploads/2018/06/TD1-FORM-Application-for-Scholarship.pdf.
Completed application forms must be returned to the Human Resources Management Unit,
Office of the Deputy Governor, P.O Box 292, Brades Montserrat.
The deadline date for receipt of applications is July 16, 2019.
Additionally, the Cabinet decision also includes approval of 18 areas of professional qualifications for public officers. ‘Chartered Institute of Housing – Professional Certificate; ICPS/CIPD Certification in Human Resources Management’; ‘Project Management Certification and professional Knowledge and Skills’; ‘Construction Management Certification’ and ‘Sustainability and Green Building Design Certification’ are among the 18 areas.
