2019 Montserrat Ferry Service Tendering Process Begins

Tenders are now being accepted for a new one-year contract for the Montserrat Ferry Service, to take effect from Tuesday, October 1, 2019.

The ferry procurement process is being conducted by the Office of the Premier with support from the Ministry of Finance and Economic Management, and is regarded as a critical aspect of Montserrat’s development agenda.

Potential bidders are invited to tender for the Montserrat ferry service to operate between Montserrat and Antigua.  The tender is for a fully crewed vessel to be available six days per week, to work to the timetable set out by the Government of Montserrat, and any other journeys that may be determined by the Government. The contract is expected to take effect from Tuesday, October 1, 2019 for a period of 12 months.

Tender submissions must be received no later than 12:00 midday (Eastern Caribbean Time) on Wednesday, July 24, 2019.

The electronic document ‘Invitation to Tender (ITT) for Montserrat Ferry Services’  can be downloaded and submitted via the myTenders portal at https://www.mytenders.co.uk/. Bidders who intend to make an electronic submission to this tender, are asked to register their interest on ‘myTenders’ at the earliest opportunity.

Individuals submitting tenders electronically are encouraged to allow sufficient time to upload the necessary documents before the deadline.

Hard copy tenders are also being accepted.  Hard copies (paper copy) can be downloaded from the Government of Montserrat website at http://www.gov.ms/tenders, labelled as ‘ITT for Montserrat Ferry Service-June 2019’. Tenders can be submitted by hand following the guidelines specified in the tender document.  Bidders are encouraged to follow all the guidelines to ensure that their bids meet all the requirements for submission.

Bidders who require clarifications or queries relating to the tender should submit these on the myTenders Portal http://www.mytenders.org or in writing to Ms Harjinder Jutle, jutleh@gov.ms no later than 12.00 midday (Eastern Caribbean Time) on Monday, July 15, 2019.

The current ferry contract ends on Monday, September 30, 2019.
