Fallen Soldiers Honoured at Remembrance Day Service and Parade

Montserrat honoured its fallen and retired soldiers on Sunday, November 10 at the Cenotaph in Little Bay.

The Remembrance Day event included a brief church service, wreath laying ceremony and parade.

Also referred to as Poppy Day, Remembrance Day honours the heroic efforts, achievements and sacrifices that were made in the 1914-1918 and 1939-1945 world wars.

In attendance were Governor Sarah Tucker, and Acting Premier Veronica Dorsette-Hector among other leaders and community representatives.

Members of local uniformed bodies including the Red Cross, the Guides, Royal Montserrat Police Service participated in the parade.

The ceremony was live streamed by the Government Information Unit (GIU).
