The Access Division in the Office of the Premier has released updates on flight schedules for December 2024 to help passengers plan their travel during the busy holiday season.
According to the Access Division, both Fly Montserrat and SVG Air will maintain their regular flight schedules throughout December. Both airlines are also prepared to add extra flights, depending on passenger demand. Travelers are encouraged to book early to avoid delays.
The additional flights will be needed as Premier Reuben T. Meade said he is unable to keep his campaign promise of a ferry for the season due to several factors.
In a radio interview, the premier said that due to scheduling of ferries this time of year, and the certification needed to operate between Montserrat and Antigua, it has proven a challenge to get a ferry within the time frame of November 15. The government, he said, had also tried to secure ferry services by advertising, however due to the short time frame, very few applications were received.
Passengers without confirmed bookings are advised to contact the Access Division by email at accessmni@gov.ms, by phone at 664-491-3378, or via WhatsApp at 664-392-3600. You will need to provide your travel dates and arrival times to assist in coordinating travel between Montserrat and Antigua.
To further support passengers, additional Access Division staff will be stationed at VC Bird International Airport in Antigua to offer assistance during the peak season.
Travelers are urged to review and adjust their plans accordingly in light of these updates.
