It’s been three years since the Montserrat Carnival calendar included a Miss Montserrat pageant. Tonight, the reigning Miss Montserrat 2021, Nia St. Claire will officially hand off her crown to one of the six women vying for the title.
The Miss Montserrat Pageant is slated to begin at 8pm in Carnival City, Little Bay.
The last competition was held in 2021 as there have been various issues, including lack of enough contestants to put on the event. Miss Montserrat Nia St. Claire has done a commendable job representing the island at the Miss Jaycees 2022 and serving as an ambassador for national events throughout the years.
Tonight, six young women aged 19 to 26 are hoping they will be the next Montserrat ambassador.
Competing for the coveted title of Miss Montserrat 2024 are:
- Delegate #1 – 19-year-old Mauricia Barzey
- Delegate #2 – 21-year-old Shana Johnson
- Delegate #3 – 19-year-old Carisa Brudy
- Delegate #4 – 26-year-old Essaline Martin
- Delegate #5 – 22-year-old Anna-Kay Turner (sister of Miss Montserrat 2019 Janet Turner)
- Delegate #6 – 19-year-old Danté Daniel
