Project Aid Alliouagana continued its commitment to support Montserrat’s young people with its sixth Back-to-School initiative this past week.
According to the PAA, “168 students received backpacks filled with essential stationery and school supplies, while 62 students also received school uniforms — 2 tops and 1 bottom each.”
“We invested a record over XCD$27,000 into this year’s Back-to-School initiative because every child deserves to start the school year prepared, confident, and ready to learn,” the charity said on their social media accounts.

But along with the school supplies, the children enjoyed delicious treats, fun, laughter, and plenty of smiles throughout the day thanks to the contributions of Dunstan Lindesay and their vendors Lyston Skerritt, Deryll S. Skerritt, Wendy’s Kitchen and Hambone Ice Cream.
The charity gave special mention to their “dedicated partner Ralph Remidy Remi and King Ocean Services for their commitment in handling our shipping and logistic needs each year. Beni’s Jewellery and Devika Beni for once again hosting the event.”
Volunteers are an essential aspect of how the charity is able to deliver the event each year. The thanked this year’s volunteers including DJ House Rat, Alison Richards, Keyola Greene, former Miss Montserrat Nia St Claire, and Denelta Weekes.
“We also extend our sincere appreciation to Adrienne Cabey, who expertly handled our uniform order and helped ensure our students were properly outfitted for the new school year.”
Project Aid Alliouagana said they are committed to making a difference, one child at a time and wished all of the children a successful school year.
