15 Women to Compete for Miss Regal Int'l Title in Antigua

15 Beautiful women from across the globe will be vying for the title of Miss Regal International 2016 at the Executive Business Centre, ‘Runway 10’ on Saturday, August 13, 2016.   It is the first time that an international pageant will be held in Antigua.

The women represent four continents – Africa, Europe, the Americas and OceaniaAntigua & Barbuda, Denmark, Guyana, Hungary, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Moldova, Montserrat, New Zealand, Nigeria, Philippines, South Sudan, St. Kitts/Nevis, Trinidad & Tobago and United States Virgin Islands.  

Former Miss Montserrat 2014 and 2015 Jaycees Queen Sharissa Ryan will be representing Montserrat in the pageant.

The show is being produced by Antigua Pageants Ltd. owned by Antigua and Barbuda’s leading fashion designer, model agent and pageant manager, Calvin S.  In partnership with The Government of Antigua & Barbuda, Antigua Barbuda Tourism Authority, Sugar Ridge Resort, Carmichaels Restaurant, Kismera, Beautiful People Mas’, Hadeed Motors, Viva Caribbean, HAMA Productions, Elegant Steps, Antigua Chiama Italia, Carib Bikini, Verandah Resorts, Crystal Clear Skincare, Club Sushi, Casa Palmadita, Studio 79, Last Call Bar and RPM Caribbean. 

Calvin S. explains how the contestants have been preparing for the pageant: “They have been our guests for the past three weeks and have been truly immersed in our culture.  Apart from island tours and evening functions, they were able to participate in our summer festival, Carnival. They joined Beautiful People Mas group for two days of street dancing. I wish to thank the Ministry of Tourism and Jolly Beach Hotel for making this a memorable trip as they are truly having a lot of fun.”

He adds that now the women are getting down to the serious business of preparing for next Saturday’s Final: “They are now focusing on winning and representing their country. There will be three segments National Dress, Swimwear and Evening Gown. The evening will be very special and we have a few surprises for all who attend.”

Tickets for Miss Regal International are available from Beauty Inc. on Cross Street, Elegant Steps on Lower Nevis Street and via the Ticketing event app via the Google Play Store. The Shows start at 8pm and are as follows:
Thursday 11th August – The Pitch Show (Preliminaries – National Costume, Talent)
Saturday 13th August – The Finals Miss Regal International & Coronation Ball

Miss Regal International finalists will be judged on their beauty, intelligence, talent and self-determination to succeed. The winner will receive US$25,000, clothes and jewellery and she will also be the face and spokesperson for Breast and Ovarian Cancer charities and Homeless Awareness organisations in their home country.
