2014 Chevening Scholar Returns with Masters in Bio Medicine

WOODLANDS – 2014 Chevening Scholarship recipient Kimona Daniel has returned to Montserrat.

Daniel, the acting Senior Medical Technologist at the Glendon Hospital now boasts a Master of Science degree in Biomedical Science with Management Studies from Kingston University.

On Thursday, October 15, 2015 Her Excellency the Governor Elizabeth Carriere presented Kimona with her Chevening certificate of completion.

Daniel thanked the local Governor’s Office and the Foreign and Commonwealth Office for granting her the award. She shared that it had been quite a challenge to keep up with the many opportunities made available through the Chevening Secretariat but she gave priority to her studies.

Other former Chevening Scholars who were in attendance to welcome her home were Hon Minister of Education Delmaude Ryan, Hon Acting Financial Secretary Lindorna Brade, GIS Specialist Laverne Ryan, Architect Linda Dias and Director at MCW Cheverlyn Williams.

There is still time to apply for the 2016 Chevening award as applications are open until November 3, 2015.
