MARINE VILLAGE – If you love seafood then today is for you.
The Montserrat Volcano Catch Fishing Tournament & Regatta winds up today at Marine Village Little Bay with a seafood festival. Since many will be in the area for the Labour Day activities at the playing field, we encourage you to be safe on the road and watch out for walkers.
Sunday, May 3, 2015 was the shoreline and spearfishing competition. The winners are as follows:
Winner of Fish in Pot Category is Ivason “Jim” Fagan who caught 152.6 lbs of fish. This was 62.6 lbs less fish than was caught Saturday by champion boat winners of the deep sea category Child’s Play 2.
The over all winner was Jeffery Ryan who brought in 62.8lbs of fish, while David Brade caught the largest fish at 9.4lbs. Police man and spear fisherman George Ryan caught 56lbs of fish. This was three pounds less than the second place winners of deep sea yesterday.
Volcano Catch is organised by Fabulous Entertainment and sponsored by both public and private partners.
