A preliminary voter’s list for each district has been released ahead of Nomination Day.
Supervisor of Elections Mrs Claudette Weekes said Nomination Day is November 7, 2019.
While several parties and individuals have announced they will contest the elections, their names won’t be added to the election ballot until they have officially been nominated by two registered voters. No one can nominate more than one candidate. Each candidate must submit a refundable $500 in cash. This will be refunded if the candidate gains more than 11% of the ballots on election day.
More than 30 people have expressed interest in contesting the elections with four parties and numerous independent candidates .
Election Day is Monday, November 18, 2019.
