Montserrat is Relegated from CONCACAF Nations League B

Montserrat’s final two matches in this year’s Nations League were two more defeats. This time to St Vincent and the Grenadines (2-1) and El Salvador (1-0). That’s five defeats out of six in the tournament and ten out of 14 since Lee Boyer took over as manager. In comparison, Willie Donachie lost just six of 18, with three of those against El Salvador. Willie raised our expectations, although his final season saw Montserrat finish bottom of the table following a 6-1 defeat to Trinidad in the Gold Cup prelims. But football is a game of fine margins.
