Students in all grades of the St. Augustine Primary School will participate in the Annual Reading & Public Speaking Competition on Sunday March 5th at the St. Patrick’s Cooperative Credit Union, beginning promptly at 4:30 p.m.
Students have been going through a series of reading preliminaries and the finalists will compete for awards and prizes.
Grades five and six students will speak on topics they have prepared. Kindergarten to grades four students will show their reading skills on selected poetry and short stories.
All families are encouraged to attend this fun filled and exciting event which aims to, among other things, develop pupils public speaking skills.
Adult tickets are $10.00 each. Pupils pay $5.00 at the door.
