The Government of Montserrat will be accepting tenders from the middle of June, for a new one-year contract for the Montserrat Ferry Service.
The contract will take effect from October 2018 and will require the winning bidder to provide a regular ferry service between Montserrat and Antigua, with occasional services to other neighbouring islands. The ferry procurement process is being conducted by the Office of the Premier with support from the Ministry of Finance and Economic Management as the current contract with the Jaden Sun Ferry is scheduled to end in September 2018.
The procurement will be advertised on the e-sourcing portal (Mytender) at https://www.mytenders.co.uk and http://www.gov.ms/tenders/, and also through a hard copy paper based process. As a precursor to the actual tendering process, the Government of Montserrat has started an early market engagement exercise in the form of a Montserrat Ferry Service Bidders Questionnaire. The questionnaire will be sent to bidders who expressed an interest previously, however new suppliers can complete the questionnaire. This questionnaire is available on http://www.gov.ms/tenders/ and can also be obtained at the following direct link http://www.gov.ms/wp-content/uploads/2018/05/Government-of-Montserrat-Ferry-Service-Bidders-Questionaire.pdf
Additionally, the Government of Montserrat has published a Prior Information Notice (PIN) on the upcoming tendering process for the Montserrat Ferry Service. This PIN is also available on the Mytender and Government of Montserrat websites.
Prospective bidders can obtain further information on the Montserrat Ferry procurement process by emailing the Procurement Officer in the Procurement Department of the Ministry of Finance, Ms. Harjinder Jutle at procurement@gov.ms
