Queen's Birthday Reception 2015

WOODLANDS – No doubt about it, the 2015 Queen’s Birthday Reception 2015 will be a memorable one. It will be one of the last official celebration at Governor’s House for the current Governor Adrian Davis and his wife Sujue, who end a four-year term next month.

Black Rhythms Band lead by Cepeke provided the music and a host of singers including Ben Durand, Sarah Durand, Nia Golden, Martin Dawson, Tabu and Bimsha lit up the evening. Nadia Browne kicked off the festivities with her renditions of God Save the Queen. The guests joined in for an emotional performance of Motherland, Montserrat’s national song.

Throughout the evening tributes were made to the governor and Sujue who has endeared herself to the people of the island, championing many causes and teaching Mandarin Chinese to children and adults.
