There were presentations by the Premier Romeo; the Honourable Deputy Governor, Mr Alric Jim Taylor, Mr Richard Aspin (longest serving member in the Governor’s Office) and Mrs Judith Baker, Clerk of Council.
Throughout the evening the Davis’ were serenaded by top performers to include, the National Youth Choir, children and young adult sections, the Masquerades, Raga (second longest serving member in the Governor’s Office) and veteran calypsonian De Bear. The tone at the gala event was the same as at so many other events held recently to say goodbye to the couple. Attendees expressed their appreciation for the service of HE Governor and Mrs Davis. The Davis’, arrived on island on 8th April 2011, and will be departing by chartered aircraft at 1.30 pm on Tuesday July 7th from the John A. Osborne Airport at Gerald’s.
