Final Night of Election Discussions with Montserrat Youth Parliament

The Montserrat Youth Parliament will host their final panel discussions tonight, Tuesday, November 12 at the Montserrat Cultural Centre.

Tonight’s event will be held in the main auditorium to accommodate a larger audience and is scheduled to run from 7PM to 10PM.

The additional hour was given to allow for more questions and discussions between the panelists, who are expected to compromise the party leaders and independent candidates with prior political experience in one capacity or the next.

Slated to appear are Easton Taylor-Farrell and Dr Samuel Joseph of the Movement for Change and Prosperity (MCAP), ministers Paul Lewis and Claude Hogan of the People’s Democratic Movement (PDM), Dr. Lowell Lewis of the Montserrat National Congress (MNC), Peter Queeley, leader of the Montserrat United Labour Party (MULP), and independent candidates Premier Donaldson Romeo, second highest vote-getter in the 2014 elections Dr. Ingrid Buffonge and former Speaker of the House Shirley Osborne.

The format remains the same, with the event moderated by members of the Youth Parliament, who will field questions from those collected via social media and email, members of the Diaspora and also the audience in attendance.

There have been three other panels in the series, which was organised to all for voters to hear from most of the 35 candidates who will be contesting the November 18 General Elections.

All of the discussions have been live streamed via Live Island Events and can be heard on ZJB Radio.
