Police and Fire Community Week Begins Saturday

Police, Fire and Community Week 2015 begins this Saturday, October 21.

The annual week of activities is an opportunity for the police and fire service to connect with communities to foster more collaboration and maintain positive partnerships.

“Rebuilding resilience, determination and commitment: Police, Fire and Community Week 2015” is the theme for this year.

On Saturday a march comprising of uniformed groups begins at 11AM from the Brades Pentecostal Church. The formal opening of the week follows.
Police and fire officers will attend worship service on Sunday , November 1 at the Apostolic Church in St Johns.

Junior Citizens Day, which allows students to visit the Police Headquarters and the Brades Fire Station will be on Tuesday November 3.
Several visits have been planned to the local senior citizens facilities. On Wednesday they will visit Margetson Home, the Lookout Elderly Home and the Lookout Warde Support Unit on Thursday and Golden Years Home on Friday.

The highlight of the week will be a debate at Credit Union House on Saturday November 7 from 7PM.
