The Access Division has announced that due to rough seas, there will be no ferry service on Sunday evening. Passengers who purchased tickets for Sunday’s ferry service will be transferred by air on Monday.
The Tuesday morning service from Montserrat to Antigua is also cancelled. Booked passengers for this service are asked to contact Mr Jemmotte 1664 496 9912 to confirm their travel.
The authorities will continue to monitor the sea conditions and provide updates as they become available.
On Saturday evening, the Antigua & Barbuda Met Office announced that heavy winds are expected across the Caribbean this week and will affect sea conditions.
This is expected to be a heavy travel week for Montserrat as visitors arrive for the St Patrick’s Festival celebrations which officially begin on Friday, March 9.
